Summer Programs
Each summer the Berkman Klein Center swings open the doors of their vibrant building to welcome a group of talented and curious students who are passionate about the promise of the Internet.
Participants are deeply and substantively involved in the operation of the Berkman Klein Center’s projects, programs, and other efforts. Interns become invaluable contributors to the Center’s operation and success by working collaboratively with Center and on independent initiatives under the guidance of Center staff, faculty and community members. Participant roles and projects range widely between projects based on the Center’s needs and the participants' skills, but most roles are scoped for students. Participants also engage in regular cohort-building activities.
This summer, instead of our usual internships, the Berkman Klein Center invites you to join us as a research assistant and dive into impactful projects that are shaping the future of emerging tech and social media. Explore diverse opportunities tailored to match your skills and interests by visiting our "Open Positions" on the Research Assistantships page. Our positions are open to students residing in Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, or Washington state, running from June to August. As positions are filled on a rolling basis, don’t miss your chance to be part of our dynamic community.
Summer 2025 Research Assistant positions are now closed. Please check back in early 2026 for future opportunities.
